What we do.

AI strategy and implementation for nonprofits, in three parts: what to do, how to build it, and how to keep it safe. Sized for small teams, tight budgets, and sensitive data.

01

Strategy

Figure out where AI helps and where it doesn't, and leave with a plan for doing it.

AI readiness assessment

Where AI can help your work, where it can't, and what it would take to get there, ranked by impact and cost.

Data review

A look at the data each idea depends on: where it lives, how clean it is, and who should be able to see it.

Build vs. buy guidance

We evaluate the tools pitched to nonprofits and tell you what's worth paying for and what you already have.

Cost planning

What each option costs to set up and to run every month, so you know what you're committing to before you start.

A short, ordered plan

A few things worth doing, in order, with owners, timelines, and what success looks like for each.

Board & leadership briefing

A plain explanation of the plan for your board and leadership: what you're doing, why, and what the risks are.

02

Implementation

Build and deploy what the plan calls for, plus the data cleanup it depends on.

Assistants for staff

Language models for drafting, summarizing, research, and translation, set up inside the tools your staff already use.

Intake & case notes

Agents that draft case notes, summarize files, and pull up what a caseworker needs. A person makes every decision.

Reporting & research

First drafts of reports, grant narratives, and research roundups, so your team edits instead of starting from a blank page.

Workflow automation

Automate data entry, document processing, and scheduling, with a person checking the steps that matter.

Data cleanup

Bring the spreadsheets, CRMs, and case systems you already run into one reliable source, without replacing them all.

Low running costs

Built to run within a nonprofit budget, and handed over in a state your team can maintain without us.

03

Safety & governance

Put guardrails in place before anything goes live, then check that they keep working.

Data security

Access controls, clear rules on where data goes, and a check of what each vendor can see and keep.

Privacy for the people you serve

Careful handling of sensitive client data, with HIPAA and GDPR/CCPA compliance where they apply.

AI usage policy

Plain-language rules for how your staff use AI: what's allowed, how data is handled, and what you tell the people you serve.

Staff training

Hands-on training for your team and board, so people know how to use the tools well and when not to use them.

Human oversight

Clear limits on what each system can do on its own, when it hands off to a person, and how to undo its work.

Testing & monitoring

We test for failures and bias before anything reaches real clients, and give you a way to keep checking it over time.

How we work

We're a collective of senior practitioners, not a staffing firm.

We take on focused engagements — usually one major project at a time — and bring our full attention to each. We scope honestly, deliver what we commit to, and tell you upfront if a project isn't the right fit. The same rigor applies whether it's a five-person grassroots group or a national organization.

Start with an assessment

Many engagements begin with a focused 90-day assessment — a clear, prioritized plan you can act on, with or without us.

Then build alongside you

For implementation, we embed with your team for a defined period and leave you able to run what we built without us.

Priced for the sector

We work at nonprofit rates, structure around grant cycles where it helps, and reserve capacity for pro bono and deeply discounted work. [Confirm your own pricing approach here.]

Every engagement starts with a conversation.

Tell us what you're working on. We'll tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
